Beauty Tips. ACNE
Acne occurs because more oil is produced on the skin than the skin itself can shed and therefore, pores can become clogged as a result. It is a myth that acne occurs by eating fatty/ oily foods as acne actually grows from within the skin itself, and not outside the skin. Therefore it is essential to use a deep cleansing product that works from within your skin. Adult acne and breakouts should be treated with BENZOYL PEROXIDE which is usually in the form of an ointment or soap, and is always anti bacterial. This should then be followed with a product that contains SALICYIC ACID which is usually in a cream form or in the form of an exfoliant which is good at preventing acne. Tea Tree Oil is also very good solution to acne as it attacks acne from where it began to form. A good home made method to treat acne is to mix yeast with some tea tree oil so that a paste is formed. Tea Tree Oil is both antiseptic and anti inflammatory. Once it has formed a paste, spread this over your spot and cover it with a bandage. The yeast helps the spot to surface the skin, and the Tea Tree Oil attacks it. We have now established that open pores make skin more prone to breakouts, and a way to tighten pores is by using cucumbers! Simply cut a few cucumber slices and soak then in a cup of rose water and a teaspoon of witch hazel and refrigerate. Apply the cucumbers on the skin after cleansing and this will eventually reduce the appearance of open pores. The solution can be refrigerated for up to one week, and cucumbers are always good to treat the skin as they contain anti wrinkling hormones and contain a pH of 5.5 which is the same as healthy skin.
