Beauty Tips. Cheek colour make-up
CHEEK COLOUR For ivory skin tones: They should stick to light tones, and soft pinks for blush. For pink skin tones: Warm peach is recommended to less intensify such a rosy complexion. For yellow skin tones: Honey coloured blushes are the best to use, with a more coral/peachy finish. For black skin tones: A fudge coloured blush is ideal, with a bronzer on top. Cheek colour should be applied to where the centre of your cheek puffs out when you smile, and it should be blended outwards towards the hairline. If you find that you have put too much blusher on, the best way to remedy the situation is to apply pressed powder over the top of it to tone the colour down. Those who have oily skin should use a blusher that is a shade lighter than the colour they wish to end up with, which helps with the effect of oil on the blusher’s pigment. CREAM BLUSHER: Is easy to use as it glides more naturally onto the skin, and can be very easily blended. Cream blushers also eventually set to a more powdery finish, giving you a more natural look. These should be applied with fingers, step by step to avoid the colour looking too bright on your skin. POWDER BLUSHER: Should be applied lightly, with the right blusher brush. You should always tap the brush off its excess of blusher to avoid the look of too much colour on your cheeks. Powder blushers are not easily blended as cream blushers, therefore, if applied directly from the compact, the colour will look very obvious and dramatic once on your cheeks. BRONZING POWDER: This is applied in the same way as a powder blusher, but the bronzing can also be used on different parts of the face to give your face a more sun kissed look. Bronzing powder should be applied to places which catch the rays of the sun, including over your nose and the ops of your cheekbones.
